Our story

OUR STORY

Welcome to Artvocacy, where arts and humanities intersect. I am Omar Al Sayed, the founder of Artvocacy. Since I was 16 years old I’ve been working with NGOs and other CSOs in many different roles. Next to my work, I also pursued my passion for communication and arts and completed a degree in Visual Communications. Through this experience, I became aware of a major gap in the way NGOs and humanitarian efforts communicate and advocate for social change. I realized that by combining my passion for the arts with my background in the development sector, I could make a valuable contribution to civil society organizations. And thus, Artvocacy was born.

WHY ARTVOCACY?

Arts can evoke emotions and inspire actions, making it a powerful tool for advocacy and leading to positive social change. Visual arts in particular (visually appealing and emotionally impactful images, videos, or other forms of artistic expression) can demonstrate complex issues engagingly and memorably. Our many years of experience in working with civil society organizations gives us a better contextual understanding of your mission and activities. This will help us create great results that represent your people, and can help to raise awareness and generate public discourse on important issues, bringing attention to causes that may otherwise be overlooked.
