EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Connect with your audience!

Each organization, project, or initiative must have an external communication strategy. It is the exchange of information and messages between you and your stakeholders outside of the organization. This can include media, followers, direct beneficiaries, and the general public. The purpose of external communication is to build and maintain relationships, influence opinions, and provide information about the organization’s services, activities, and impact results.

How can we help?
As your external communications consultant, we start with the need assessment and based on the results, we build a strategy together. We will look into:

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

We are all on the same page here!

Internal communication refers to the exchange of information and messages within an organization among employees, departments, and levels of management. Internal communication helps build trust and transparency, improves employee engagement and motivation, ensures consistent understanding of goals and strategies, facilitates problem-solving and decision-making, and strengthens organizational culture and cohesion.

Here are 10 questions to start with when looking into internal communication:

o1

What is the current method of communication between the CEO, management, and employees?

02

Is the intranet user-friendly for employees to access information?

03

Is there a staff newsletter in place?

o4

How are contract wins, project updates, milestones, and achievements communicated?

05

Is there an accessible employee suggestion program for all staff?

06

Where can employees find resources such as internal org charts, templates, company presentations, brochures, training information, messages from management, online training, and company policies?

o7

Is there a structured induction process for new employees?

08

What is the employee satisfaction level and when was the last communication survey conducted?

09

Are the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values known to all employees?

10

Is there a uniform template for internal communication (noticeboards, online communication, PPT presentations)?

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

Let’s set it all up!

When staff is assigned to a project, they are no longer working only for their organization, they are walking into a new organization that has its own way (or soon to shape its own way) of doing things. On bigger projects, a consortium may be formed, bringing together employees from diverse companies with varying cultures. Each of these team members is used to their organization’s way of operating. One of the most important things to do early on in the life cycle of the project is to create an identity and culture that employees can feel part of, along with a ‘one project, one team’ spirit.

We can help you get there!
